Sustainable Energy Week 2018

The EU Sustainable Energy Week 2018 (EUSEW18) will take place between 4 and 8 June 2018. The EUSEW is organised every year by the European Commission (Directorate-General for Energy and EASME) and is dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe.

This year the focus is on “leading the clean energy transition”, and it will cover a series of activities across Europe. Among other events, a Policy Conference will be held, which is a relevant European conference dedicated to sustainable energy policy issues. Sessions organised by the European Commission and energy stakeholders debate new policy developments, best practices and sustainable energy ideas, while networking events forge alliances.

The EU Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding innovation in energy efficiency and renewable energies. Nominees/finalists are chosen from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects for clean, secure and efficient energy. Prizes are awarded by an expert jury and European citizens. The Awards ceremony will take place on Monday, 4th June 2018.

An Energy Day in a city or region can also be organised to engage citizens and other stakeholders. Energy Days take place throughout the months of May and June. Information can be found on https://eusew.eu/about-energy-days
